We visited this Cracker Barrel on the way home from Orlando last week. It was super busy at about 1 PM on a Sunday, we had to wait approximately 30 minutes. The food was consistent with other Cracker Barrel's that I have been to and delicious! I will be back in the future if I am in the area.
I love the Chow Chow relish and had it with some grilled chicken tenderloins as well as some delicious vegetables and a salad. -

The servers were great, but BEWARE! They cook the pork products and the turkey products together! So when you DONT EAT PORK! And they still cook the food in pork grease then WTF is wrong with these people? I will be reporting them to the health department! I ASKED THAT THEY TAKE THE ENTIRE OLATE BACK AND RECOOK AND BRING FOOD ON A CLEAN PLATE AND RHEY JUST REPLACED THE SAUSAGE!
They don't seem to understand that this is a form of cross-contamination! If I'm not a pork eater and you're purposely cooking my food with pork byproducts on the same grill etc., you're essentially poisoning me! Also, when people don't eat pork and then it's introduced it causes a very painful reaction in the gut! Another point to consider, what if a person is allergic to pork and that's why they requested the non pork option! Again this place is going to kill you! And finally!!! How dare they purposely choose to violate a person religious rights! This is egregious!!!!!!!!
The young waitress did turn on the other grill and prepare our food properly in the end!!! BUT THIS SHOJLD BE STANDARD PRACTICE! So beware! Request that they don't poison Your food if you don't eat pork or certain items, by cooking it on the clean grill.
I would have given them a higher star ONLY BECAUSE OF THE WAITRESS PATRINA!! She was awesome!! ... AS FOR THE OTHER FOOD, it's the Cracker Barrel so it's the same as every other Cracker Barrel breakfast, minus the pork grease. -

Not good and certainly not good compared to other Cracker Barrel's. Poorly seasoned food. Mine seemed to take about 10 minutes longer than other lyrics. No meat only veggies so should have been fast. I ordered mash potatoes and it was clear from the less than soft potatoes that it had sat in the back for 10 minutes. Biscuits weren't even good and cornbread was too dry. Crackers were too stale to eat. Look elsewhere

In all my years of eating at Cracker Barrel restaurants, this particular one is the most disappointing.
We were surprised to find out that Tallahassee only has one Cracker Barrel and it happens to be the smallest one I have ever seen. (Please use a map or a GPS when going there, it's located on a weird turn off the interstate that is not clearly marked.) The parking lot is quite small and has an overflow lot down below that it shares with the hotel next door.
It is also not in very good condition. The women's bathroom (only 2 stalls plus handicapped) only had 2 working toilets and one of those had a lock broken and the toilet paper holder had been ripped out of the wall leaving the paper roll to be sat in a cement hole.
There were four of us at this visit and for two of us, they ran out of things we ordered. I overheard people at the table behind us complaining about the kitchen running out of standard menu items as well. (They even spoke to the manager, who just apologized and walked away.)
The good? Breakfast (the eggs and meat) was a hit for those that ordered it. The French Dip sandwich was also good. The chicken (in the Chicken and Dumplings) was tender and good. The biscuits were probably the best I've had in a long time, brought out straight from the oven - almost too hot to touch - unbelievably light and fluffy.
The bad? The hash brown casserole was so full of pepper it changed the color of it. (See the picture.) It was edible, but very strange. The grits were tasteless and required copious amounts of salt and butter. The dumplings (from the Chicken and Dumplings) were awful, cooked but still gooey. No amount of salt and pepper improved that lot. So disappointed.
The place was incredibly busy, the tables jam packed in and super crowded. It was like they put more tables inside than they were allowed to. They had plenty of workers but many didn't seem to know what they were doing and I saw a lot of them just wandering around aimlessly.
When I went to the cash register to pay, I asked if this was normal for a holiday weekend. The woman replied no, but it was normal for a Sunday. Frankly I was shocked - if this was normal for a Sunday, there is no excuse for running out of food, cramming people in, or having excess workers just milling about.
I have eaten at other smaller Cracker Barrels before and have received stellar food and service. For this place to be located in our state capitol? Bad management, what an embarrassment to the brand.

Only thing good at Cracker Barrel yesterday was our server. Ribeye steak was cold. Vegetable plate just warm. The place had few customers except for take away orders. Used to be so much better.
